Paralegal Webinar & Virtual Networking Event

A free networking event for members of the Institute of Paralegals, legal professionals and law students.

The Institute of Paralegals have established a series of monthly virtual events to provide you with a platform to hear from two guest speakers on a range of topics, ask questions and to connect.

Our free monthly events officially runs for an hour, between 1pm-2pm however you will be able to join the meeting from 12:45pm to allow you time to get settled in and introduce yourself to the group via the chat facility.

Speaker - Yanthe Richardson, Managing Associate (FCILEx) at Foot Anstey LLP and Non-Executive Director on the CILEx Professional Board

Bio of Speaker

Yanthe began her career in law in 2003 and qualified as a fellow of CILEX in 2010. Having practised family and residential property law in Lincolnshire, London and Devon, Yanthe is now a Managing Associate at Foot Anstey where she leads the specialist new build property team based across the south west of England. She has extensive experience advising on all aspects of residential property and a keen interest in the role that technology can play in improving the home buying and selling process. Yanthe leads on projects developing the operational and strategic direction of her team, with a particular focus on the consumer journey.

Yanthe was a Specialist Reference Group Advisor to CILEX (from February 2019 to September 2021) and during that tenure became CILEX's representative on the Home Buying and Selling Group. She continues to advise government on the Land Registry's Advisory Council. With years of experience managing people and conveyancing teams, Yanthe's focus has driven her towards aiming to reduce delays and complications in conveyancing transactions while providing excellent client care.

Having started out in law somewhat accidentally, Yanthe attributes her career in part to the opportunities offered to her by the alternative route to qualification CILEX provides. She is passionate about ensuring others have the same opportunities regardless of their background, and strongly believes that we must continue to drive the standards expected of our legal professionals no matter which route to qualification they have taken.

Away from work, Yanthe is a keen traveller, having taken a six-month career break to travel across Central America and has trekked to the summit of Mount Toubkal in Morocco for charity.
