Part Time Position

Are you an experienced administrator, looking to put your skills to good use in working for a membership body? The PPR is the overarching voluntary regulator for Paralegals in England and Wales.  If you are a good communicator, organised and have experience of working on excel spreadsheets then we would like to hear from you. We are a small team who offer a professional, busy but relaxed working environment. If you want to join a team that is committed to ensuring our membership is strong, then we can’t wait to meet you!

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience

Marketing Intern

This is a 6- week summer internship paying expenses only of £100.00 per week.

The Institute of Paralegals is the oldest incorporated professional membership body in the UK. We have a strong presence in the legal sector and are considered the experts in the Paralegal field. We are looking for someone with a Marketing background or studying at undergraduate or post graduate level for a marketing related qualification.

How can you expect to spend your day?

You will join the Institute as a Marketing Intern, responsible for formulating a new marketing plan as the organisation is expanding into qualifications and training. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop a successful career in marketing. Experience of using social media as a marketing tool would also be useful.

Tasks you can expect to learn about and be responsible for include: 

•    You will develop a clear distinction of the type of content that will engage the Institute’s members and to attract new members.

•    You will be required to write content for marketing purposes which will be posted through-mail campaigns and the Institute’s social media channels with a view to raising brand awareness. 

•    Research latest industry news that can be used to create engaging content  

•    Work with our external media team to assist with social media channels by posting content and engaging with target audiences where possible. 

•    You will work with the Director of the business to establish and implement a marketing strategy that will develop brand identity and awareness.  

What are the ideal candidate’s personality, skills and qualifications?

•    Educated to degree level or current or 3rd year student.

•    A bright individual looking to kick start their career in content marketing or working for an organisation in the legal sector. 

•    Excellent writing skills, with tons of fresh ideas for how to engage audiences online.

•    High degree of familiarity with and interest in using social media platforms, ideally LinkedIn and Twitter.

Marketing/PR Intern

The PPR is the overarching voluntary regulator for Paralegals in England and Wales. It is a professional membership body for Paralegals and therefore provides membership services and runs events. We are looking for a volunteer marketing or PR intern to assist with preparations for our annual conference.  If you are a good communicator and well organised, then we would like to hear from you.

Ideally a four-week placement. Unfortunately this is not a paid position but consideration will be given to pay for travel expenses.

How can you expect to spend your day?

You will join the PPR as a Marketing Intern, working with the conference co-ordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop a successful career in marketing or events. Experience of using social media as a marketing tool would also be useful.

Tasks you can expect to learn about and be responsible for include: 

•    You will develop a clear understanding of how to organise a small conference (150 delegates)

•    You will be required to write content for marketing purposes which will be posted through-mail campaigns and the Institute’s social media channels with a view to raising brand awareness. 

•    Research and engage with potential sponsors

•    Work with our external media team to assist with social media channels by posting content and engaging with target audiences where possible. 

•    You will work with the conference co-ordinator in developing the design of the conference folder and other marketing materials
