Linda Ford, CEO of CILEX, which acquired the Institute of Paralegals and the PPR earlier this year, said: “Paralegals play a vital role in the delivery of legal services and we want to recognise their hard work and achievements, as well as showcasing the organisations that help the paralegal profession thrive.

“We are delighted to be hosting the awards for the first time and celebrating those who are doing great work across the variety of specialisms and roles which make up the paralegal profession.”

Carrie Caladine, Managing Director said “I am so delighted that we are this year’s headline sponsors of the Paralegal Awards.  We have championed the role of the professional paralegal since we set up our business and have taken an active role in supporting the growth of paralegals in legal businesses across England and Wales.  The awards provide us with a much-needed opportunity to celebrate and recognise the achievements of those that play such a vital role in the industry.”

Esperanza Fuentes, Ombudsman Manager at Financial Ombudsman Service, will be heading up the independent judging panel, which is made of highly regarded business and legal professionals.

Esperanza said “I am delighted to be involved with this years’ National Paralegal Awards. This is and opportunity to showcase and celebrate the achievements of paralegals in the UK and to reward paralegals for their outstanding contributions to the legal sector.
