Careers day for schools

This month the Institute is again working with the charity Inspiring Futures to help run a legal careers day for school children. Other participating bodies are the Bar Council, Law Society and Ilex.

Fellow gets new ICO qualification

The Information Commissioner's Office has introduced a new qualification, the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection. Institute Fellow Karl Thompson of Phoenix Housing was one of the first 10 legal practitioners to be awarded the qualification. Congratulations to him for being (yet again) a trail-blazer.
